"Checkered Dreams"

ABOUT CHECKERED DREAMS:

Our "DREAM" is to give sick or handicapped kids, ages 5 -15 a fun filled night at a local racetrack. The families get free admission into the track, the child gets an on track interview, (if they don't want to be interviewed that's fine), a victory lap with the checkered flag, a trophy, a CHECKERED DREAMS hat and T shirt, and a real race helmet to get autographed! (When available) We also supply the families with a buffet to feast on throughout the night. If you know a child that qualifies and would like to receive an event from us please feel free to contact us!

On June 24th, Checkered Dreams came up to Mahoning Valley Speedway and spent the day in the pits with Nicholas and Andrew Matcho. Two brothers, age 9 and 10, who are both very sick were able to meet the drivers of NEETS and the officials. Howie Bott took Nicholas for a ride in his "Purple People Eater"...but Nicholas wasn't the least bit affraid by these photos! Josh Oswald took Andrew for a ride in his TRUX. Afterwards, the two vehcles were nosed up against each other for a bunch of group shots! Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves very much and were happy to meet so many wonderful people! They were even cheering Petey on after they just met him!!!

Gee Terry, you almost look like you over did it!!

Don't hit him Josh!!

Poor Andrew, he must be thinking to himself, "Why did I pick the truck?"

Nicholas looks like he had a blast with Howie!

The whole gang gets together in victory lane!

He he he....Nicholas still does not want to take off his helmet!

Sign away Josh!

Brian Kunkel spends some time in victory lane after his win in the 4 cylinder race.
