NEETS First Ever Double Header This Weekend!!!

Story by:

October 19, 2009

NEETS will be hosting it's first ever double header weekend at TWO DIFFERENT VENUES!!! Saturday, October 24th, the Junk-a-Thon will be held at Grandview Speedway. Then on Sunday, October 25th, the Frankenduro will be held at Wall Stadium!

In the early hours on Sunday, October 18th, officials were left with no other option to call off the day's enduro events due to inclement weather. NEETS Promoter Joe Cutri and Grandview Speedway Promoter Kenny Rogers conversed about a rain date for this event, the end result was that this event will be scheduled to be made up in just 6 days! Saturday, October 24th, will be the make-up for this missed event. The pre-registration list will carry forward so as to not affect car counts, new drivers can still pre-register though.

This will mean double-enduro-duty for some drivers being that the NEETS Frankenduro at Wall Stadium is scheduled for Sunday, October 25th.

The Frankenduro will be a "Loaded Event" as NEETS is packing the day with tons of activities....both on and off the track! Starting the day off will be the Wall Stadium Sunday Series, beginning at 10:30. At noon, FM 102.9 WMGK Sportscaster, Joe Krause, will be on location to collect winter coats and gear to be donated to the homeless! WMGK will be attending the event with a full crew hosting the on-air collection of winter coats!

Once the Sunday Series racing events are complete, NEETS will take center stage as the Small Cars, TRUX, Big Cars and Ladies Race hit the track! ALL THIS FOR ONLY $5!!!

Is that it....NO! Between races, NEETS will be having a costume contest for all the kids in the grandstands! The winner will take home a bag full of goodies! Registration only requires a costume!!! But, let's keep this honest everyone....ages 3-11...we can't have our drivers trying to beat out the kiddies! As an added bonus, the winner gets to wave the Green Flag at the beginning of the next race!!! (Minimum 5 years old to wave the flag.)

So, come on out and play...both days! Event details can be found on the main page for start times and such. We'll see you a whole lot this weekend!
