TRUX Specific Rules

1. Cargo Beds:
A. If cover is used:
i. There must be an easily, manually operable access cover to reach cargo bed.
ii. For technical inspection purposes, the cover cannot be permanently fastened.
B. If not cover is used:
i. Bed must be clean and free of debris.
C. Rear tail gates must be bolted, chained or welded in place.
i. Rear tail gate is not to be considered and access panel to covered cargo bay.
D. Battery may be relocated to cargo bed if desired.
i. Must be located as far forward as possible.
ii. Must be securely fastened in place.
E. Fuel cells may be used.
i. All general rules apply to fuel cells.
ii. Must be mounted in center of bed, no extra left side weight, as far forward as
possible.
Must be secured using no less than (4) steel straps, 1/8" x 1" steel, with
minimum 3/8" Grade-8 bolts and large flat washers. Lock nuts recommended.
2. Spoilers:
A. 4" tall clear lexan spoiler permitted.
3. Stock type rims only.
A. May use aftermarket wheel as long as stock offsets are maintained.
B. Maximum rim width is 7" for all divisions.
C. Must start on all same sized rims. No 13" on one side and 16" on the other.
4. DOT passenger car tires only.
A. Radial Tires only, with tread wear rating of 300 minimum.
B. No off-road tires allowed.
C. 60 series or higher mandatory (60, 65, 70, etc...).
D. 7" tread width, 7 1/2" max accepted big cars, 7" small.
5. No lightweight racing wheels permitted.
6. No wheel weights permitted.
7. Use of 1" racing lug nuts is highly recommended.
8. No shaved or grooved tires will be permitted.
9. Roll Cages / Roll Bars:
A. Being that trucks have less protection than that of a full sized car, it is highly
recommended that a full cage is installed or at least a few extra protective
bars for the driver's side.
