Manual Scoring RulesGENERAL1. All cars must have their own scorer. 2. It is advisable to have an experienced person score 3. Scorers will follow all NEETS rules and head scorers instructions at each event. 4. Tour series is not responsible for any discrepancies or scoring errors. 5. Cheating on score sheets will be cause for a $100 fine and immediate disqualification of car being scored. a. Second offense will be cause for a $250 fine and a one year suspension from the series. b. Car cannot compete with tour series until fine is paid. c. All fines collected will be added to the drivers point fund. 6. Tour series official scorers and officials will determine final finishing order. 7. Added time penalties will be added by tour officials for cars not following rules. 8. Spot checks will be done at each race with NEETS officials scoring random cars for the entire race and score sheets will be compared for accuracy. INSTRUCTIONS 1. The NEETS official head scorer will instruct you on how to properly score your driver at each event in a scorers meeting before the race. Any questions should be directed to him at this time. 2. You should have a clipboard with your car number on the back with large contrasting numbers so the head scorer car read it from a distance. a. If you do not have a clipboard, you can write the car number on the back of the score sheet in black magic marker. b. All scoring will be done in black or blue ink. 3. Scorers will sit in a designated area by the series and will be guided there by the head scorer before the race begins where further instructions may be added. 4. All NEETS races will be rolling starts and will not be scored until the green flag drops. 5. Once the green flag drops the head scorer will either start or uncover the "FLOP CLOCK" and you will write down the number on the flop clock every time your car passes over the Start/Finish line (or a designated mark on the track) in the proper boxes on the score sheet in order. a. If for any reason during the race the Flop clock fails to operate, the head scorer will call the Chief starter and stop the race and continue when clock is repaired or if not repaired will designate scorers to keep track of positions of all cars. 6. The flop clock will continue to operate non-stop until the race is over whether by laps run or time limit. 7. The flop clock will be covered by the head scorer under all red flag conditions. a. IMPORTANT: All cars must stop on the track wherever they are under a RED flag and resume from this spot when the GREEN flag is once again back out. If your car has not passed the designated spot when it stops....DO NOT write the number down until the GREEN flag is back out and the car has passed the designated spot. 8. Every ten (10) laps you must hold your score sheet up so as the head scorer can read your number and copy it down. Hold the sheet up until the head scorer reads your number. If you fail to do this it may reflect a discrepancy on the final results. 9. If the car you are scoring leaves the track and enters the pit area, enter the letter "P" next to the last lap scored. Then continue to write down the numbers when the car passes the designated spot after re-entering the race. 10. If the car you are scoring receives a black flag for any reason, your score sheet will be pulled by the head scorer. 11. At the conclusion of the race, the clock will be covered and the score sheets will immediately be gathered by the head scorer. TRANSPONDER SCORED ENDURO RACES 1. Grandview Speedway utilizes the computerized AMB transponder system for all scoring. 2. Your team will not need a manual scorer for these races. 3. You must purchase a bracket (one time fee) and properly install the unit in your vehicle according to NEETS guidelines. A rental fee of $10 will be charged for the usage of the transponder units by NEETS Racing at each of these events. The brackets will be available at the registration office. a. IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to make sure of the transponder unit installation. Improperly installed or loss of transponders while racing will result in your car not being scored no matter where you finished. With the amount of cars on the track, it is hard to determine if a car's unit is not showing up on the computer. If it is caught and brought to the attention of the NEETS officials we will black flag the car from the speedway and notify the driver of the problem. No lost laps will be awarded back to the driver. 4. Upon entering the pits, the driver must immediately register his name and car number with the registration office. 5. All cars will immediately turn in units at the registration office at the conclusion of the race or if your car is not able to complete the race. Payouts will not take place until ALL units are turned in and accounted for. |
